Can you post screenshots showing the "View (Emotion) Work" option on each one fo the objects I posted? I uninstalled my game and only have the base game installed. I removed all saves and repaired the game several times. I created a brand new save with brand new Sims. The option is still not appearing on those objects. I ran it paused, regular speed, and maxed speed. The option is still not appearing. I also tried with a single Sim and I am still having the same issue. The reason I used a Sim in a group was to show the options are missing.
These are the additional screenshots I have with a single Sim that is not in a group:
@canelacaliente - From your list, I only tested a couple of things that were already placed in my sims' home - the stack of CDs and the Sentinel. I wish I had done a screenshot, but since I got them to work along with other emotional items in the home - energized statues, focused microscope print, inspirational statue - I thought I'd ask for more info before proceeding. Well, that was a huge mistake because I cannot for the life of me get the stack of CDs or the Sentinel to work again 😠 I swear to you they worked yesterday - I have no idea what happened, but I have done a lot of testing of those items and found a few more that no longer work. So, I owe you an apology for not thoroughly going through the list before posting.
I even went back in some old saves, to see if they work with the sim who actually unlocked them, which they didn't. I also tried every color swatch of each of the items that I have unlocked, with the same results. I have no explanation why it worked before, but none of these have the "view emotional work" option on them now:
In addition, none of the mounted fish, My Sims trophies, or Postcards have the menu choice to view emotional work.
Space prints and microscope prints - none of the common or uncommon prints have the "view focused work". However, the rare prints in each collection do still have the menu choice. I use the rare microscope print Crystal Palace routinely; it seems to be a weird coincidence that most everything I use the view menu with happens to work or I would have noticed this long ago.
To see if the Sim's emotional state had anything to do with it, I tried matching the emotional state to the item; tried all of them with a sim who was just "fine", and with a sim who was happy. The view emotional item menu choice did not come up for any of them. I'm having a hard time remembering when the last time I actually used the feature on any of these particular items, so difficult to say which patch disabled them.
Hope this helps.
