[NEEDS SAVES] Can't choose infant/toddler/Child trait on aging up

I’ve recently been subject to a bug. Whenever I try to age up an infant to a toddler, the game will not let me choose a trait for the toddler. This has happened with three babies in three different families. 

The box will go white and blank. When I click on the question mark, nothing happens. I’ve also tried to click on the dice to randomize the trait. Again, nothing happens.

The only way I can age up an infant is if I move the baby out of the house with one parent and have the other parent visit and age them up. Even then, the game selects the trait on its own. 

What’s worse, my game freezes. I can’t back out or go to another family. I have to restart the game. This bug is recent. My game has been working for years. Is this happening to anyone else?

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Idk 

What happens when the bug occurs? The box goes white and blank. I can’t select any traits. Also, nothing happens when I click the question mark or dice. 

What do you expect to see? I expect to see the trait box with choices as I did before the bug happened. 

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I download houses from the gallery. I have about 9 or 10 downloaded houses. I do not use mods. 

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? It started after I installed Growing Together.
