Same thing happened to me, I bought 4 and they kept disappearing as soon as I moved them or my sim used it. I tried reloading the game and they all appeared in my sim's inventory... Then I used the tablet again to see if it worked for real and it did. Hope it goes well for you!
Hello! I know this question was years ago, but I had the same problem with Sims 4 in steam deck. But I found all the dissappearing digitalistic sketchpad! They were in my wall bookshelf. So if you have a book holder or shelf, I'd try to "open" it and check there!
