Got this problem in my house, around 14 sims days ago the guy died.
The grim reaper is just standing there and will not take away the died person.
I can not do anything right now because its all blocked due the fact that the death guy needs to be removed.
Did you try the suggestions above ?
Hi, I'm having the same problem. My sim died of hysteria, and the Grim Reaper arrived....He just stands there, doing nothing. She's been lying on the ground, dead, with the grim reaper just standing there for so long that she died -AGAIN- of old age. Cheats aren't working, I can't open my household and resetting the sim isn't doing anything. I just built a new house with no saves inbetween, so quitting without saving isn't an option... help? :c

This is just for completing the Thread.
Just in case someone who isn't used to cheat in the Sims, you have to press [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[C]
A console bar (top left) appears where you can type:
testingcheats true
once done a message appears that "cheats are enabled"
(to disable it, put false instead of true)
Now go through your household with [SPACE] and [SHIFT]+Click the dead Body.
When "Oject Reset (Debug)" appears click it, this should make the dead body disappear.

I think it went buggy because the son of my dying charakter was being borned/still a baby and so couldn't interact.
At least I hope your problem gets solved like that.
btw great game, still buggy(floating forks) but fun!

i tried reset sim i put my sims first name and last name in the cheat and it said sim not found and i tried testing cheats true and it worked and i clicked on the dead sim and it didn't work so what do i do please help me

Me too. Same problem. The reaper won’t take the dead body. It’s been days. The solution says test true or something. I don’t know what that means. Help!!
