[NEEDS SAVES] [LD] Sim in another household not dying/repeat inventory message

Hello,

I just updated my game from the update yesterday 10/22/24, and now I keep getting the same message about my sim dying in another active household and where I would like her inventory to go. I don't have any mods installed so I know that's not the issue. Anyone else getting this repeat message over and over?

There's an option to disable that in the game settings, I think.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Play a few households where the elders are and are close to death 2. change the household 3. the popup "Sim from your recently played household died" 2. Select the option to add inventory of the Sim to the household inventory
What happens when the bug occurs? The popup reappears till you select an option to delete the inventory of the Sim.
What do you expect to see? i expect all options to work and not the same popup about the same Sim reappearing to me
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

Yes, this helps. But I want to save the inventory and I cannot, the popup keeps being shown to me and this option does not work. So it's a bug.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a Sim that is not in the active household, but is in 'My Households' die
What happens when the bug occurs? I get the below message, but the sim alive and well. This specific Sim has died twice in the last 24 hours (real not sims hours).
What do you expect to see? The sim is actually dead
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Nope.

I'm having this issue as well and it is more annoying than anything. 

Just wondering if the sim in the other household in the Reaper career?  The reaper career reward makes the sim immortal so whenever Grim shows up to reap them, he just revives them instead.  If they're constantly dying in an accident or something the game is just going to keep reviving them.  If they're not in that career, I wonder if it still has something to do with the game script running a revive scenario instead of a reap scenario. 

If they are dying from an accidental death, you could try turning off accidental deaths for that sim in the neighborhood stories options to see if it at least makes it go away for the time being. If they are dying of old age, I guess the best option to get rid of the annoyance would be to just turn off aging for played households and play rotationally for the time being. 

Yeah this just happened to me with a challenge family. Heiress moved away from her parents and momma passed away, got the notice and the asking about inventory and it kept popping up even after I replied to move the inventory into the parents' household.

I had to give up the sim's inventory to move on (so to speak) so definitely a bug with the keep inventory option.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Sim dies in unplayed house and comes back to life over and over, generic inventory pop up notice loops along with it. Inventory choice is made but the pop up returns + sim does not die.
What happens when the bug occurs? Forced to load unplayed house to “manage” death as “dead” sims are still alive in death loop. At times multiple urns created, some blank. Sim returns to life, loops death, Grim at times never leaves. Forced to reload and hope for different outcome. The generic “inventory” pop up death notice returns as the sim dies - again. At times the new “ghost” pop up asks if the sim wants to become a player ghost or free roaming ghost. Death does resolve faster after this choice is given and Grim finishes job.
What do you expect to see? I expect sims to die in unplayed houses - without my assistance - with the generic inventory pop up death notice ONCE only. I expect the player ghost or roaming ghost pop up question ONCE only. I expect to later visit that house to find ONE urn with the sim name on it, not a half dozen blank ones. If the “player ghost” pop up question is universal, I expect it after each death. Most importantly, I expect sims to die without my “live” attendance.
