[NEEDS SAVES] [LD] [W] 'I want to go on a wolfy adventure' doesnt tick off

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.110.294
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Packs.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Get the 'I want to go on a wolfy adventure' bucket list item, complete any of the tasks in moonwood mill
What happens when the bug occurs? It doesnt tick off as completed in moonwood mill, only ticking off in glimmerbrook.
What do you expect to see? The tuning fixed and it to correctly tick off in moonwood mill as the tooltip, name & target occult show.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Looking at the tuning files the bucket list calls for the world to be:

region_Residential_Magic      -  Glimmerbrook, a rather simple fix is to simply change this line to:

region_Residential_WolfTown       - Moonwood Mill

Ah, I found the issue before release!

Interestingly, it decided to work as intended for me (the bucket list goal completed in Moonwood Mill after a fight with a werewolf), so... I'm confused here to be honest...

Took a look into tuning files again... Still says Glimmerbrook...

Yeah, the tuning file part should be fixed... I wonder why did they put Glimmerbrook in the first place...

@EgonVMDidn't work for me, i had to bring a werewolf all the way out to glimmerbrook

This is the most interesting part here...

    • Why did the goal work for me as intended?
    • Why is Glimmerbrook required in the tuning files?

Thus, I guess the solution to it is more complicated than simply changing the world, that's what I guessing.

Your outcome is something that makes more sense according to tuning files and mine is luck.

Whatever the case, I will add the link to this post to my initial find in EA Forums. Your outcome is exactly what I thought was going to happen.

I tested it out about a day after the pack released... So... I don't know...

It'll take me some hours before I can test it again. I have taken the tuning files with me, but these say the same thing your viewing said.

  • I'm playing version 1.110.311.1220 on Mac, with the following packs:

Life & Death (of course), Horse Ranch, Snowy Escape, Island Living, Growing Together, Get to Work, Get Famous, Discover University, Cottage Living, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Werewolves, Strangerville, Realm of Magic, Outdoor Retreat, Jungle Adventure, Tiny Living, Romantic Garden, Paranormal, My First Pet Stuff, Moschino, Laundry Day, Kids Stuff, Home Chef Hustle, Bowling Night, Backyard Stuff, Crystal Creations, and a handful of kits. I do also have Lovestruck installed, but disabled.

My Sim (a spellcaster young adult) got the "I want to go on a wolfy adventure!" bucket list item almost immediately after I installed the pack. Since then, I have tried the following:

    1. Befriend a wolf at the bar in Moonwood Mill. (no check)
    2. Introduce myself to another wolf at the bar, then while still only acquaintances invite them to the bar in Glimmerbrook. Bring the relationship up to friendship while in the Glimmerbrook bar. (no check)
    3. Go back to Moonwood Mill, provoke Greg into a fight. Lose. (no check)
    4. Go back to the Glimmerbrook bar, cheat to bring Greg there. Have a supernatural smackdown. Lose again. (check! bucket list advances)

So I see two problems - the first, that it does actually seem to require the wrong world, and the second that befriending a werewolf doesn't seem to work in either world.

    Hello all,

If any of you are still encountering this on the latest game version (without mods), would you be willing to share your save file(s)?

If so, please send me a private message with a link to the file. Instructions here: http://x.ea.com/74420

    Thanks!

    Hiya @EA_Cade

This isn't a save by save issue yet a issue within the tuning for the bucket list

The tuning states region_Residential_Magic which needs to be changed to region_Residential_WolfTown

From my tests the bucket list DOES tick off in glimmerbrook, yet is nearly impossible as its rare for a werewolf to be generated outside of  moonwood mill, I don't have a save at hand, if still needed I can provide one, could you share this post with the team?
