If so, please send me a private message with a link to the file.

- columbia932 years agoNew Ace@TheSimsDirect I just purchased Growing Together this weekend and the first time playing the game after that, Marcus Flex died. He had a high relationship with my played Sim's husband. Kinda ticked me off, though. Then, within a day or two (Sim's days), my sim was notified in the middle of the night that her BFF died. (Becca Clark?) This is unacceptable. If EA feels they need to cull Sims, then why choose Sims with relationships with played Sims? There are plenty of townies I'd never miss or interact with. Plus, both Sims were Young Adult. Personally, I feel like it's a really nasty thing for EA to do. There's realism and then there's realism and this isn't either one.
EA should also keep in mind that this sends Sims into mourning and with a few Sim days being several months in Sims time, this ridiculous gameplay incapacitates the Sim(s) for far too long to make gameplay enjoyable or to keep it moving forward. It also really screws with the Sims who are attempting to "collect" friends. It's just wrong on so many levels.
I also do not want to turn off aging in any capacity because I like having my Sims age, as well as their friends. I do have it on a custom span that is longer than the EA long, but I still want the aging to move forward....for all of the Sims.
I play with Mods. I didn't add any Growing Together Mods yet but I'm not going to remove my Mods just on the off chance that a family friend dies again. It's sometimes hard enough to play with the mods in (boring) and would be unbearable to play without them (waaaayyyyyyyyy more boring).- flauschtrud2 years agoSeasoned Ace
@columbia93 Accidental deaths don't have anything to do with Growing Together.
And if you don't like this feature you can turn it off completely or only for some households in the settings for Neighborhood Stories (in Manage Households). These features are totally customizable.
