NPC Sims dying, coming back to life.

How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I own every pack except the four newest kits.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? If you get a notification saying an NPC Sim is dead, they might come back to life.
What happens when the bug occurs? If you get a notification saying an NPC Sim is dead, they might come back to life. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but this specific Sim was a gallery Sim that I brought into the game using Cupid Corner before gallery Sims randomly stopped appearing there.
What do you expect to see? I expect NPCs to stay dead, not come back to life.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I got a call saying an Sim I'd previously played, but removed from my households, had died. This was confirmed later when my Sim got a call from his wife saying "___ and I had a baby". It was at this moment, I went to see if she had had a baby with someone else or a science baby, but it did confirm Edward had died via Cowplant. I didn't get a screenshot of this. I didn't think it was important. Later, I get a call from Edward, and his picture is not a ghost like it'd been in the family tree before. Sure enough, he is now a living, young adult Sim with a job. I'd never seen an NPC come back to life before.
