I (also no GRO) have this issue. "Gossip" is also now "Gossip about Family Drama" no matter what Sim is the target, except I think for co-workers (where it's "Gossip about Co-workers"). I did notice it changed back to just "Gossip" on New Year's Eve.

CORRECTION: Co-workers get both "Gossip about Co-workers" and "Gossip about Family Drama" options.
