Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When dust piles up and a dust bunny appears, trying to vacuum the dust pile or having a butler that tries, will cause the bug to occur.
What happens when the bug occurs? The character trying to vacuum the dust pile will have their vacuum animation immediately cancelled. The dust pile and dust bunny will disappear and new ones will appear elsewhere in the house. This will repeat indefinitely with dust piles and bunnies disappearing and reappearing right away.
What do you expect to see? I expect them to simply vacuum up the pile and clean the dust.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I know there have been lots of problems with dust, but I was hoping they'd been fixed. I have a maid that won't clean dust at all. I will try giving her a vacuum sometime if I can. The butler does try to clean dust, but runs into this bug. So he ends up constantly chasing down dust bunnies with no end in sight. It seems to be a bug because the vacuum animation cancels as soon as they pull the vacuum out of their pocket. Sometimes you don't even see the vacuum and the Sim just sort of twitches and the dust disappears and reappears.
It won't even let me vacuum the floors when there are no dust piles or bunnies. I manually deleted the piles and bunnies in Buy Mode, and when I check the dust level it says the floors are dusty. So I try vacuuming but my Sim doesn't do anything at all. He walks to the spot and then the action is gone. No animation, nothing.
