Hello, I have the same problem where I entered a Pumpkin Pie to the Finchwick Fair (Cottage Living Expansion) then after the fair ended, the Pumpkin Pie went to my Household Inventory and get a "system error" everytime I take it out. This is a problem coz whenever I want to join another Pie contest all sorts of problems arise! So I hope you can get this fixed, please... I will send the link to my Save File in a private message. I was having this same issue. My family had butter chicken in their home inventory that I could not delete or sell because it is unsellable and when I tried to place it in the world, it said "system error." My work-around was to use the Eco Living Recycler item: it lets you pick items that are in your home inventory! ... So I just recycled the cursed chicken to get rid of it.
The chicken went into the home inventory after the family came home from vacation. I think the chicken was left out on the tables in their vacation house and then automatically went into their inventory when they got sent home at the end of the vacation.
