[OPEN] Caterers/Mixologists don't work at event

When I hire a mixologist for an event, I get charged for it but the mixologist does not show up.  If I click on a bar and select hire mixologist during the event, I have the same issue.  Once they showed up close to the end of the event and stayed at the location where they spawned.

Here it is September 2021 and I still have this issue with hired NPCs not showing up at events. The game takes the simoleans and no one arrives. That goes for DJ, Mixologist, and Caterer. Thank goodness I have Control Any Sim mod. I am able to control a guest and have them do all the work for events. I have way too many mods in my game to pinpoint the issue. What’s the use of trying?: even folks without mods are having the same problem. What is being done about this and when can this issue make its way on the Sims Team backlog as a priority? 

LittleMsSam has a mod called "Free Staff and no phone call animation for marketstalls, chef, barista & bartender" that makes hiring these service NPCs free.  Instead of hiring one through the social event menu, click on the object and select hire.  An NPC will show up and perform the job they are hired for without charging your household.

I’m having a similar issue. I’ve had several parties and hired mixologists. They only show up to cater. When I click on the bar it says a mixologist is already on site. So not only do all of my sims think it’s appropriate for them all to be cooking at the same time, so does the bar tender. 

No, hasn't fixed the issue. Caterer even at home lot just sits and talks to guests and/or watches TV and never even attempts to cook anything, let alone a cake.

It's really a hit and miss in my game if caterers, entertainers or mixologists show up at all, whether they do their job or when they show up (sometimes they show up when the event is half way done). So I usually don't rely on them and bring my own cake and food. For me this is true for weddings, but can happen at other events like house parties as well. And it has always been like this in my game.

I have the same issue. The hired caterers do everything but cook.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a non-goaled Birthday Party
What happens when the bug occurs? Caterer acts like Neighbor NPC, using computer to increase their Programming skill. When computers are locked or taken away, they will turn on Cooking channel on TV or repair the clothesline. Screenshot below. Mixologist also does not serve drinks, and will instead only grab drinks for theirself.
What do you expect to see? Caterer NPC do their job and bake the cake. Mixologist serve drinks

I started a non-goaled birthday party today and observed the caterer acting like a neighbor NPC. I will send save. Mixologist was also only grabbing drinks for theirself and not serving.
