[OPEN] [CCSP] 'Give Gift of Jewellery' aspiration step not being rewarded

I was playing the CCSP aspiration and gave two different Sims gifts of jewellery that I had created. Neither gift counted towards the aspiration. The way I gave the gift was through the interaction pie menu: Friendly -> affection -> give gift (choose jewellery from inventory).

Is there another way to give jewellery as a gift or is this a bug?

Product: The Sims 4
Platform: PC (EA App)
Which language are you playing the game in?: English
How often does the bug occur?: Every time I try to give a gift of jewellery
What is your current game version number?: 1.105.332.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed?: All expansions, all game packs, all stuff packs, all kits.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?: With the CCSP installed and the new aspiration active, have a sim craft a piece of jewellery. Put the jewellery in the sims inventory. Click on a 2nd sim and select Friendly -> give gift -> give gift from inventory. Select the jewellery.
What happens when the bug occurs?: the gift is given, but the aspiration goal is not checked off.
What do you expect to see?: The aspiration goal to give a gift of crafted jewellery should be marked as complete.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?: no
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?: installed the CCSP and latest patch.
Please describe the patch or change you made.: see above.

Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title. Please add pack tags yourself. Thank you.

With the last patch, you can complete the aspiration step with the Friendly:Affection:Gift Jewelry menu choice, but Romance:Affection:Give Romantic Gift does not work. (There is no Gift Jewelry choice here.)

If you try to Friendly:Affection:Give Gift:Friendly Gift it does not work, only Friendly:Affection:Gift Jewelry works.

*quote* If you ran into this issue via the Give Romantic Gift option, could you try the friendly Give Gift version as well and let me know if there is a change?

I tried it 3 different ways in the friendly interactions:
    - friendly - affection - give gift - friendly gift (DID NOT count as aspiration step achieved)
    - friendly - give seasonnal holiday gift (DID NOT count as aspiration step achieved)
    - friendly - affection - offer jewelry (*DID* count as aspiration step achieved!!! The only one)

I only get the "gift to" option when clicking on jewelry when the jewelry is uncharged. Any time I gift charged jewelry it doesn't count to fill the aspiration requirement.

  • Same here. I tried the friendly gift giving option but it didn't register in the aspiration. There is no option to gift the jewelry when clicking on it in inventory. I also saw someone mention an "offer jewelry" interaction in the affection section of the pie menu, but that doesn't come up for me either. The jewelry isn't charged, and I'm really not sure what I'm supposed to do. I'll keep trying things but I really wish it wasn't so finicky.

You can Gift Jewelry... from the Friendly > Affection menu. (Gift Jewelry

You can Propose with Crafted Ring from the Relationship menu (used to be in Romance before Lovestruck.) provided you aren't a Lovebug.

If you are a Lovebug, if you have a crafted ring in your inventory, you have two options to Propose Early, one of which will be with a crafted ring, but you can't tell which one it is. Click on the wrong one and you propose without gifting the ring. (I have reported this in a separate bug report.)

If you have a crafted ring in your inventory, you can click on it to Propose with it. (This works whether or not you are a lovebug.)

Any of the above will satisfy the Give Gift of Jewelry aspiration goal. (Basic rings purchased through the phone's Shopping > Purchase Romantic Items menu count as crafted rings for this aspiration goal.)

What you can't do to satisfy the aspiration goal is to gift jewelry romantically except by proposing with a crafted ring.
