Ever since the neighborhood stories update, if a household adopts a pet, the pet has no breed when customizing in CAS. This stops you from being able to leave CAS unless you have the cheat cas.fulleditmode on. You can’t delete the pet or edit the breed name

    Happens to me often, I usually type in mixed since I have no clue and it usually becomes a problem after a quick edit of a human sim in CAS. CAS won't let me leave until I identify the breed.
