Just found this out yesterday. My Sim "inherited" a ruined building that is technically off-the-grid, because it wasn't lived in in ages. He's started with 0 simoleons and is trying to fix it up. And since the old fridge that was there was the base game one that doesn't work off the grid, I wanted him to buy a better one with his first bigger paycheck, so he could at least cook in bulk. The country charm fridge is really cute too, so I went for it, only to find out that it doesn't work off-the-grid, even though it's labeled as such. I had to buy one of the other ones, which are way less cute but at least work as promised. They should just remove the label if nothing else. It's confusing.
@bbyhighnessThis should be an easy fix, just make it like the other "off the grid" fridges, until then, when I want to play off the grid, instead of using the Country Charm Fridge, I'll have to use one of the Cottage Living fridges instead... but I really like the Country Charm Fridge. 😕
