I placed a penthouse that I downloaded from the gallery onto the Stargazer Lounge lot and noticed when I went to change some things (e.g. changing the wallpaper, changing the floors, moving furniture) that it wasn't responding to me clicking on anything but wasn't give me any 'Error' messages. So I thought, okay, I'll leave it as is for now and left build mode, and went onto play live mode on a different lot. Then I bought Vintage Glamour Stuff and knew that the penthouse that I placed used some items from that pack, so I demolished the lot aaannd... now that lot is completely broken. The skyscraper is just gone. The grids for the lot is on the floor of the penthouse INSIDE where the skyscraper used to be, but the walls, ceilings and floor all float above the lot where it's all meant to be. So... is this fixable or is that lot in my save file just broken forever?
So I tried disabling the City Living pack like this thread suggested and it DID work in fixing the broken lot, but the problem still remains that if I place a lot from the gallery and then bulldoze the lot it breaks again. I tried 2 different lots from 2 different creators and they both broke. I tried deleting everything off the lot room by room and it was only when I started deleting rooms on the first floor that the skyscraper disappeared.
The SAME THING is happening to me!! I first noticed it when I went to visit a family that was living there, and couldn't get inside the apartment! So, I moved the family and went back to the lot to see what was going on. I bulldozed the lot to start over, and then THIS happened when I tried rebuilding the fountainview penthouse.
This is happening to me too on the Stargazer lot. I tried to place a build and it floats. Additionally, the base of the building that teleports sims self deletes. I exited out of my game without saving so I don't ruin my save file. This is a serious issue that needs to be fixed. It seems to be related to the "For Rent" Patch.
