Same here, I had fear of the dark and I managed to get rid of it through gameplay but then the conquered moodlet got stuck. I was visiting a bar lot when this happened. It was a different fear that I got rid of by drinking the potion but that worked without any issue. I'll test if going to main menu solves this or do I really have to restart.
edit: Ok it's enough to go to main menu and the moodlet will disappear! Kinda assumed as much but I thought I might as well test and report back. 🙂
This also happened to me too, I went to a bar for a date and when my date got home I tried to conquer my sim's fear then the "Fear Conquered" keeps in 0 mins and never went out... now my sim can't sleep.
