[OPEN] Doors/Windows sometimes won't place

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
What is your current game version number? 1.68.154.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Holiday Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? building a room and trying to place a door
What happens when the bug occurs? I try to place a door in a wall where I normally should be allowed to place it, but it says that it cannot intersect with the wall, it only happens in some rooms others are unaffected by this issue.
What do you expect to see? I expect that I will be allowed to place the door in the wall
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I downloaded the new update of the sims 4

One room I built would delete the back exterior door (but not the front exterior door) whenever I tried to resize the room. I earlier thought it was connected to my experimentation with platforms, but I demolished the house and attempted to rebuild it without platforms and got variations on the same problem.

    In my case NONE of the doors or windows will place.   I tried several and couldn't make it happen.  In the picture I've attached you can see that UI is corrupted.   The symbols to the left should be windows rather than doors.  

    FYI  I have NO mods installed and I tried repairing the game.  It had no effect.  I have all the packs and kits.

    so i haven't noticed this with windows and doors (yet) but it's happening with counters. I have no script mods and there's no CC in this house, but when I place a counter it doesn't stay, the second I click on anything, IF it lets me place the counter in the first place, it just disappears and goes into my household inventory. I built the house before the June 2021 update and just moved my family in. If i try to fix it it ends up irreparably messing up all my other counters too, even undo hasn't worked. 

    I am using bb.move objects on these counters, they're on an angle and not a corner, but they were working totally fine before the update.
