Servo observations
The quickest way to get the game to create servos is to enrol a Sim at Foxbury. At least one pre made Servo usually turns up at the Bot get together on the Sunday. These then can be accessed in the Unplayed household. They seem to start with Robotics 4 and all other skills at 1.
It’s not obvious to start with to discover what gender they are or their romantic and sexual inclinations. Notification wall messages sometimes refer to their gender. I tried merging two game made Servos into one house and getting them to ask each other, but they got huffy because they didn’t know each other well yet.
Likes and dislikes are very much affected by their needs meter. If they’re uncomfortable because low charge or needing repair, the message that they don’t like what they’re doing or hearing will often pop up. If they’re happy the ‘like” option is more likely to occur.
If you play multiple households on rotation, servos can be a problem because they insist on jogging in all weathers past your current play household. If they are too badly in need of repair, there’s limited amount you can do. Calling a repair person doesn’t work if they’re on the street. If they live alone or with someone who can’t repair them it can also be an issue because even if they call the repair person, if they fall asleep or move too far inside, the repair person goes home. Best to have them live with someone until they get to enhancement 3.
Enhancements come much quicker when they level any skill. So, at the start get them to do a little everything and get a number of skills to level 2.
They can die. I looked away just for a second and then noticed my newly made servo was jerking around up in the air. His creator servo had been mentoring him at the workstation while he crafted mechanisms and computer chips. It appeared he had been electrocuted, but his mentor was angry because he thought he’d been flirting with his girl friend servo So not sure if he had zapped him?? Funny looking urn and a pile of refuse? was all that was left.
Servos can’t use robo arm, but the dreaded zaps from the work station refill their charge meter, so they are great for creating more servos.
The clone Sim mat is even better though….
Weather is a huge issue and there is one temple they can’t explore in the jungle because you have to swim through a canal. Other than that they’re great in the jungle provided it’s not raining.
I can confirm the DNA sample ability and that they can drink medicine if needed and apply insect repellant.
Sixam is a great place for them to hang out if it’s raining. I created my own version of the robot invasion. Transforming everything I could at the initial welcome party, Twice the bar has transformed into a karaoke machine. Mirrors often become bookcases etc. A talking toilet is great if they get lonely and they can chat and flirt with laptops. I should add screenshots. You can’t build a toilet on Sixam despite what the lecture says, but you can transform stuff into one if you’re patient. Not that servos need them, but any humans or aliens you invite along might need one. (You can put the Wormhole generator anywhere once it’s been fully upgraded. Anyone can use it. You can even put it in a public place like a park.
The camping gear and no need for food or toilets means Servos can live in areas like Sylvan Glade. No rain! Tents can be slept in or for WooHoo. Picnic tables can be placed in world. They will automatically use a laptop there. Books in inventory and instruments, easels and even the robot crafting station can all be carted around and used there. Once in world, they stay and anyone else visiting can use them.
Happy to answer questions on servos. They rule…

If you see your Servo hanging around and appearing to be stuck, it could be because a random NPC is coming to “retune” them. My level 10 enhanced Servo, needing only a small amount of repair was eventually “fixed” by a random stranger.
