Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim place items in an ICYA chest, put the chest in their inventory with the items inside, and then move to a new lot. Then place the ICYA chest on the new lot, and try to remove the items inside it.
What happens when the bug occurs? When the ICYA chest is placed on the new lot, the items inside cannot be dragged back out of the chest into the world.
What do you expect to see? I should be able to retrieve the items my sim owns from the chest.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I just installed Discover University this week and this is my first time playing with any of the pack features. I understand from googling that this is a bug that existed in the past, but those threads say the issue was fixed. I guess it's back? Since I only just got the pack, it's obviously a new occurrence of the issue and not just irretrievable objects that predate the fix being applied.
The issue has never been solved as far as I know, which is why this topic is stll marked as OPEN.
The "Accepted Solution" was just a request for saves from the EA Sims Team and now it's just a statement that they have enough saves, so there's no need to send any more. It was never a real solution.
