The issue has never been solved as far as I know, which is why this topic is stll marked as OPEN.

The "Accepted Solution" was just a request for saves from the EA Sims Team and now it's just a statement that they have enough saves, so there's no need to send any more. It was never a real solution.

I was referring to an old thread (that I found when I googled the problem) from 2019/2020 here that talks about a similar bug. It's marked as fixed, with a quote from the Oct 2020 patch notes here.
