[OPEN] [DU] [HSY] Servos have interactions for body/facial hair

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Svenska
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.91.205.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansion packs, game packs, and stuff packs except for My First Pet Stuff. Only Desert Luxe kit.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a Servo bot (or more, than one for higher chance to see the bug). Higher chance to see the bug with a male Servo (since they can have both facial hair and body hair), but happens to female Servos too (only body hair). Click on a mirror or shower and look for options to shave facial hair or body hair. With another sim active, click on Servo and look for "support facial hair" in the friendly category and "mock facial hair" in the evil category. (Not sure about if exactly the words "support" and "mock" are used, I play in Swedish).
What happens when the bug occurs? Servos' sim-rig (underneath the Servo skin) can have facial hair and body hair. Observe that this is NOT a visual problem, but this makes if possible for Servos to use the shave option on mirrors and showers, and other sims can support (friendly interaction) or mock (evil interaction) a Servo's facial hair. This happens both to Servos who have been built and Servos who have been auto-generated during BotSavants' UtiliBot Contest. This facial hair and body hair can't be removed in CAS, since the Servo skin is locked in CAS.
What do you expect to see? No facial or body hair for Servos sim-rig. It doesn't have a purpose and the actions and interactions around it are unnecessary for Servos.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Installed High School Years.

This isn't game breaking, but it breaks the immersion.

@simminchillin That plumbob looks very red... I guess shaving body hair counts as getting wet? 😬

Btw, sure, it looks a bit funny, but it takes away sooo much of the immersion 😕 At least for me

@SqueamishNerd Yeah he almost died after shaving in the shower haha. He got wet and started to break down. But don't get me wrong, I agree with you that it should be fixed. I think it's just not that many people are playing with Servos and therefore there's not that many "me toos" on this post ☹️

I hope Maxis still notice this!

  • I once built two Servos, before body hair and hair commentary was a thing. I gave a 'me too', because I know I wouldn't like this.

  • I did some testing and found a workaround.

    Workaround:

    1. Be in live mode with your servo and use the cheat traits.remove_trait trait_Humanoid_Robots_MainTrait on the servo (this makes them "human" but they keep their servo skin)

    2. Go into CAS, now you can remove things like accessories, shoes, facial hair, and other things that the servo has under their servo skin*

    3. Go into live mode again, and use the cheat traits.equip_trait trait_Humanoid_Robots_MainTrait on the servo

*DO NOT remove their servo skin (full body outfit), you won't be able to put it back. I also recommend to not click on the body details category, since this can temporarily remove the servo skin (it comes back either if you click on another category or if you go into live mode), mainly because that breaks the immersion, in case you don't want to know what the servo looks like under the servo skin. Just click on the X on the body details category, if you want to remove the body hair without having to see your servo without their servo skin. To be able to remove head hair, facial hair, makeup and other things on the head you have to first click on the servo's body and then zoom in on the head, it doesn't work to just click on the head directly.

If you do this your servo won't have facial and body hair, which means that they won't have the interactions for facial and body hair (shaving, other sims mocking their facial/body hair, other sims supporting their facial/body hair). By removing all the other things too (except for the servo skin, it's a full body outfit) you also don't have to deal with pack tags if you upload your servos to the gallery.

I tried this with four servos, two of them were built at a robotics workstation and two of them were auto-generated. I haven't found any issues or bugs with this workaround yet. The servos that were built even retained their creator/creation relationship with their creator.
