Anyway, I need to come in to add to it.
New Lovestruck expansion pack came out. And with it came Romance Consultant career. It's missing from the enrolling UI as usual...
However, it turns out that no degree gives a head start to this career at all. I checked it out with a sim that had all the degrees cheated on, but no head-starts were available to this career. They start on level 1.
However, Communications degree does boost the performance in the Matchmaking branch and Psychology and Communications degrees boost the performance in Relationship Counselor branch, but still, there are no degrees that let your sim join the career in these branches.
