[OPEN] [ECO] Plants easily get die while eco footprint is green

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? 日本語
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.75.125.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All EP / All GP but SW, DHD / All SP but PN, MFP, BY, KR, SP, LP, / Kit: CO only
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Grow plants in green eco footprint area. (When eco footprint both on/off. That's already strange.)
What happens when the bug occurs? As soon as the plants get grown-ups, they become rotten, or easily become rotten even if they are fine for a few days, when in eco "green" area.
What do you expect to see? Plants should be fine even when they are in eco "green" area.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. 1.75.125.1030 maybe.

1. Eco footprint OFF does not function. It hides the current status, but eco status changes and affects sims and plants.

2. As soon as the plants get grown-ups, they become rotten, or easily become rotten even if they are fine for a few days, when in eco "green" area.

This is not the bug that plants turn into soil.

Hope EA fixes this soon!

    @crinrict

    Thank you for the reply.

    Rotten means dead. (To me, it looks like rotten dish with green smoke. Sorry.)

    The two threads are different from mine.

    - Sims can't interact the dead plants like watering, etc. (except for "discard") and the plants never return to soil nor revive. They are just dead. Too soon.

    - Of course sims did water the plants but I cannot say it's the reason. Instead, it seems that that the area is eco "green" is the reason.

    That the area is eco "green" is the big factor, it seems for now.

    It's strange many plants become dead as soon as they are grown up, and sims can never harvest them, not a once.

    @zzzAPRzzzz I'm actually a bit unsure if you're reporting two issues in here.

    Do you also mean turning off the voting for footprint doesn't work ?

    If so, that has it's own thread here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-INPUT-ECO-Footprint-changes-despite-turned-off/td-p/9188012

    Also found yet another thread on plants dying: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Plants-always-die-before-even-blooming/td-p/10283837

    They do seem to have the eco pack although it's not specifically mentioned

    @crinrict

    Thank you. One issue. I hit me, too button on the first thread.

    I just wanted to emphasize that eco footprint on/off doesn't affect or solve this problem (= dead plants in "green" area).

    Apologies for my very bad writing skill.

    The second one is similar, but my sims can do gardening normally in eco "middle" area. (Not tested in eco "industrial" area)

    Eco "green" area seems to cause this problem.

    I was trying to mention it has something to do with Eco Lifestyle using the word "eco" or "green" and adding [ECO] on the title, I didn't write the pack name properly though. Is that "it's not specifically mentioned"?

    @zzzAPRzzzz No, I mean in the other report. It's not clear enough if they have the issue on green as well like you or not. Could be entirely the same issue with just less details then yours

    @crinrict

    OK. I understand your intention.

    All threads you introduced could be same as mine if they are occurring in green area without noticing/mentioning that.

    @crinrict

    One of my friends and I tested this bug to confirm the detail and found that this does also occur in eco "middle" area.

    That this bug occurred only in eco "green" area plural times and that plants was normal in eco "middle" area was just fortuity.

    (Completely unintentionally, in eco "green" area, we didn't re-load the lot and plants got dead ,in reverse, in eco "middle" area, we re-load the lot and plants got fine. The temporary solution seems re-loading the lot (travel out the lot and back, play another household and back, or quit game and restart, etc.))

    So I will delete this thread after you read (or you will delete?).

    Thank you for your attention and responses.

    Yes, you are right. It's still an issue and I hope EA fixes this soon.

    But other players have already reported dead plants bug, so I thought that this report (referring especially to eco stage) is unnecessary.

    Anyway, I have nothing to say if you keep this thread or delete it.
