I'm having this too. I got tired of random sims coming for a scare on my lot so I removed the lot trait.
Now I get the specific ghostly bored moodlet sometimes when I load into the game. The sim wasn't even doing anything. Also when I move them to another lot the moodlet just comes up. while the new lot never had the trait or any other.
I've repaired the game and refreshed the sims 4 documents file. Still there.
Same issue, it keep coming back.
Experiencing the exact same thing. I removed the lot challenge and my Sims are still getting the related bored moodlet for not getting scared. It does however, only seem to be happen to the household I used it on. Moving lots, travelling, playing other households does not remove the issue. Other households seem to be unaffected so long as I never activate the lot challenge. I am wondering if the event items are somehow accidentally tied to the lot trait? I'll have to test it out by removing them all from the lot
Having the same issues. However, I didn't even add it to the lot, only earned this lot type from the rewards while playing with this househould. Especially the younger person got the bored-moodlet quite often.
The Scare Seeker lot challenge is not a lot trait and can not be gotten from the Rewards store. It is part of the Grim Reaper event that is currently going on.

Same thing. No mods. No Death and Life expansion (not until bugs are fixed). But still my sims get that annoying boring moodlet for hours, even without the challenge on.
Something is wrong in our Sims World.
