[OPEN] Effect from Scare Seeker lot challenge doesn't go away after removing it

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Constantly
What is your current game version number? 1.109.185.1030 DX11
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Batuu, Lovestruck, and lots of packs/kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Load an existing household on a lot, give the lot the Scare Seeker lot challenge, live with the challenge for a bit, then remove it.
What happens when the bug occurs? I get a bored moodlet from the Scare Seeker lot challenge despite not living on a lot with the challenge
What do you expect to see? No bored moodlet from the Scare Seeker lot challenge
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes, but only some clothing and hair. No mods that affect things like lot traits.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I added the Scare Seeker challenge to my home lot for the Reaper mission, and after awhile I noticed it doesn't really do anything except make my sims bored so I took it off. But even after taking it off, my sims still get that bored moodlet for having no scares. I even moved them to a new lot and they STILL get the bored moodlet. I've never even heard of a lot trait that follows sims around before. How is that even possible?

@HALirious9k I have this problem as well. I get constant notifications about NPCs thanking my Sim and giving them stuff. I removed the lot challenge, but I keep getting these notifications

You misread what I wrote.. It is normal to get the the bored moodlet when on a lot where the challenge is on. I never said that it was normal if it was not on at your lot or at a lot you were visiting. Also notice that there are other reasons a sim can get bored.

Sorry. Of course, I know that there are other reasons why my Sims can get bored, but it is mentioned that it is from the Scare seeker lot challenge (although as mentioned it is not activated and beside other Simmers here reported that it's still happening afer removement, I've never added it to a lot).

Yes, there is an issue with it not going away after the challenge is removed. Could your SIM have visited a lot where the challenge was on?

I've double checked it before I'm writing back. Yes, one Sim which received it from a lot where it is no activated, at least one family member visited a lot with the scare seeker, while I was not playing with this family. So maybe also the Sim which received it. For another household I could'nt remember that the Sim also visit this lot but could have happened. Maybe also while I was not playing with it (My entire Sims lifes take place in one Save File). Therefore I removed it from the only lot which has added the Scare Seeker lot challenge and I will observe if I still receive this moodlet again or not. Thank you. I'll give an update if this works out for me or not.

Short update: First impression looks good that removing the lot challenge from every lot of my save file fix my problem with the bored moodlet of the Scare Seeker.

    Thanks to @jpkarlsen.

Though it shouldn't happen to Sims who do not live or visiting a lot with the challenge activated.
