Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Most recent patch had caused extended loading times and lag. I have even tried loading into a small single household and it takes about 10-15 seconds compared to being instant previously. The mods have no effect on the loading times. I have deleted all mods, but the issue still persists, so I believe this to be an issue on EA's part.
The issue only occured recently after the most recent patch. People on the MCCC discord believe it to be a bloated file, but I am not so sure because I can load onto the save world perfectly fine, but I just can't play specifically that household. The household contains at least 80 sims, but the issue never occurred before the update, but after today's update has suddenly increased the loading times or rather have forced me to wait endlessly for the household to load. Previously the household would load in less than 20 seconds even with so many sims, but as I am timing the loading times at the moment. It has broken past 20 minutes and still counting.

Hello @4llen11,
Could you confirm if the issue you posted is the same as this existing thread?

Seems similar, but nothing I do fixes the issue. I have also tried removing mods, but that didn't solve the issue.

I have also removed any broken or outdated script mods that may conflict with the update. This issue never occurred in previous patches and the loading times for extreme households like mine, currently totaling 64 sims was reasonable at 20-30 seconds, but after the update, the household endlessly loads, but luckily I can still retrieve the sims from that household. I think it has to do with the recent patch that may have created some form of bug that increases loading times. The issue does not occur in smaller sims households, but there is a noticeable lag when loading into the game. For single sims it would be as long as 5 seconds and for 8 person households was nearly 20 seconds whereas previously would only take about one second to load both.

@4llen11 Did you also remove ANY mods/cc you have and test with an empty mods folder ?
How big is your save game ?But you have 80 Sims in your whole game not a single household ? Just making sure cause you said you had 80 Sims in one household which seems a lot and is only possible with mods.
- 2 years ago@TheSimsDirect Can you report the issue as a bug to the sims dev team? It seems over the last few days I was able to identify the issue. Because the lot was designed to be large and cluttered filled. It may have caused the game to shoot itself in the foot and cause an endless loading screen. I have gone through several different ways to fix the issue, but it has not worked. I have been able to rule out that the issue is not due to the large 64 sim household and it is not due to a corrupt save file because I can still access the save and starting on a fresh save does not fix the issue. I have repair game files, removed mods, and did a folder reset and nothing has worked. Please forward it to the sims team. I believe the household became unusable because of the recent For Rent pack resulting in this issue. I hope that maybe in a few weeks I can come back to the game and load into my lot once again, but till then I am not going through more DIY fixes that may or may not fix the issue. You can access the sims file from the one in the chat and move the household out and add a random sims onto that household with that house and it will never load.
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@4llen11 You have one household with 80 Sims ?
Would you mind sending me your save game ? Instructions in my signature.- 2 years ago@crinrict It is getting close to 80 sims, but 80+ sims was only an estimate, but I counted earlier and totals 68 sims, but I have transferred 4 of them out of the household, so I can eventually teleport the sims and save the sims to the gallery.
Here is the link.

- 4 months ago@4llen11 I have the same issue, I found that the forever loading screen happens ONLY on the lots I got from the community gallery. Just went on youtube to see if was just me and a lot of people are having the same issue. I am wondering if it is a bug from the last patch or two.
Do you get the forever loading screen on default EA lots...or is it premade lots from other simmers. Because I tested it and ALL lots that were made by simmers did not load otherwise the default EA lots loaded fine, the houses I made work okay along with all the mods. IDK, have not found a workaround, I just moved them out into another lot and they were fine again.
