I've just managed to downgrade my patch from 1.108.289.1030 to 1.101.290.1030 through system restore points. The issue is completely gone in my game, all lots that were having issues have become fully functional once more. I'm not sure what disaster EA managed to put in the For Rent patches but I've successfully reversed it. Unfortunately I'd already bought Lovestruck so it's a waste of 40 dollars, but it's a small price to pay for my one and only legacy save of 8 years and 24 generations being functional again. Through testing I'd found atleast 1/4th of all the lots in my game had become bugged resulting in crashing/infinite loading. If anyone else is experiencing these issues, I strongly urge you to rollback your game if at all possible before it is too late. To those this is not an option for, I'm very sorry. It's deeply unfair and ludicrous that EA would continue putting out packs while allowing an issue like this to persist for 8 months with no official acknowledgement or inclusion on the laundry list of other bugs. My gratitude for Crinrict however is endless, they’ve been such a genuinely lovely and helpful person in the community for so many years. This is my first time ever posting on an EA/Maxis forum for bug issues and it will likely be my last, but from the time I was a small child fighting hood corruption in Sims 2, a teen troubleshooting Sims 3 error codes, to the grown woman I am now buying her own pc and expansions, Crin has always been there, guiding me along so patiently and kindly through an innumerable amount of issues. I’m staying right here in the past with Sims 4, no more kits, gamepacks, or updates, but you’ll always be my hero Crinrict. Thank you for everything.
