Today's patch may have fixed this issue. Is anyone still seeing this particular error after updating the game?
PC: 1.99.305.1020 / Mac: 1.99.305.1220
Console: Version 1.79.25
Please everyone with this error send me your saves according to instructions in my signature.
Seems for some saves it works loading another household but I tested some more and couldn't find any household that would load on another save.
Might look into this further but need to attend to some other stuff for now.
When posting here, please state if you ever had mods in that specific save game or if it's an always unmodded game. Not sure yet if it's corruption caused by mods.
hey, I'm also struggling with this issue, I was playing as normal and tired to switch households. I got the error, clicked okay.. (this is probably where I went wrong) saved my game and exited
I can create sims but can not load into any households.
I have disabled my mods, and moved them to my desktop, I have deleted the folder, done some bits in steam that have fixed other games and still nothing.
I had this same issue!
I was able to figure out how to fix it for me but I'm not sure if it will work for others. Just before I got the error message my sim was invited to a lot (in my case it was the park in Copperdale) and as the lot was loading after accepting the invitation it kicked me back to manage worlds with that error code. I did lots of messing with my mods, repairing the game and trying other households and nothing was working.
Here's what I did.
1. I had a look at the lot that my sims were traveling to (Trotter's park in Copperdale) and noticed that the park was in error because it was missing some of the lot requirements
2. loaded into that lot with no issues only to find that all lot requirements were fine and normal
3. went back to manage worlds and the lot was fixed (I didn't even do anything!)
4. loaded into my broken save with no further issues.
If your sims weren't traveling maybe check each world to make sure there are no broken lots?
I hope this helps some people out!
Holy moley, potential easy fix! Here's what I did.
1. Back up my save files somewhere else (always do this lol)
2. Find the broken households and enter them but only with BB mode
3. Load household, works again!
As for the CAS issues, I've experienced none of those. I really hope this works for you all!
I resolved this by going into Origin -> My game library -> right click on Sims 4 icon and select ‘Repair Game’. After doing this I tried to place a newly created sim into Newcrest (which is a completely empty world), which worked without problems. After that I tried to play with my usual household in Willow Creek and everything worked as per normal. Hope this helps!!
i had the same problem for hour’s i’ve tried everything nothing worked. but when i tried to build i had no problems, then tried again to play with my household and I didn’t had the error anymore idk if it works for anyone else but its worth a try!
I have been playing all day and one of my sims died now I'm getting this error and can't play any other households or any new households.

I hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions if ur confused and don't what to do.
Tysm! I tried that but don't have anything to remove mods wise, I'm boring as heck with my game and don't have any CC. Would this still work for me?
I'm going to try what someone suggested, load the game instead of resume and see how that goes.
I've already tried repairing my game and deleting the localthumbcache.package.
I was able to load the game last night. I've also tried removing the cc I put in last night.
Did you remember to ensure your enable mods/cc box is ticked? I had the same issue.
Yh I had the same issue too what I did was to update my lighting mod and it worked fine update ur mods and lighting mods if you have one
