[OPEN] [FR] Pet/Charity Drive excessively long

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.103.250.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all but journey to batuu and a few kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure but I have a rental and no pets is not a rule for everyone.
What happens when the bug occurs? The pet drive occurs too often and you are not able to cancel it out. It last for over 12 sim hours which is EXCESSIVE
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to cancel the event if I want and for the event to occur less often
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

The pet adoption drive occurs way too often.  I am not sure what is triggering the event.  I assume it is because I do not have a no pet rule for some of the tenants.  I also am not able to cancel the event and the event last over 12 sim hours.

    Me too! But without mods and without cc.  I gave this event a try. It was triggered from the landlord having a good relationship with the tenant and commending them. I intentionally waited until the tasks for this event were complete and the timer was still running in order to trigger a reset of the timer. I gave it 3 separate tries to find out which interactions were causing the timer to reset.

    1. Leaving the tenant's apartment to visit another apartment on the same lot even with all tasks for the event complete will reset this event's timer.

    2. Leaving the lot will reset the timer. Even if a member of the landlord's household remains in the tenant's apartment, the timer will reset even though the event is complete.

    3. Commending the resident again will reset the timer.

    during gameplay - 

    go into menu > game options

    click pack settings >For Rent > disable Events

    I just had a pet adoption drive trigger at 2:30am. I didn't commend anyone. My sims were sleeping. This is crazy.

    Does turning off events also turn off things like electrical failures, and other maintenance based events? It would really suck to have to turn off that whole aspect of gameplay just to stop the pet adoption drives.

    @TIABIA123 Yes, that would be great, if it actually worked, which it does not. Pet Adoption Drives continue to happen.

    It worked for me when I did it ☹ i haven't been playing that household since actually.

    @TIABIA123 It doesn't work. I disabled events in the settings already and I get the pet adoption drive every freakin day! This is a real annoying bug that needs fixed. Sounds like I need to stop being nice to my tenants.

    What is your current game version number? 1.108.349.1020
    What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All add-ons
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By playing as a renter or owner of a rental in the For Rent pack
    What happens when the bug occurs? I can't cancel a rental event after completion like adopt a pet drive or charity drive etc.
    What do you expect to see? For it to be fixed, hands down 💯
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
    Please describe the patch or change you made. Since the first for Rent patch updates.

    And it's not mods I checked and I did a repair and nothing so it is the patch/pack 💯
