I play the Sims 4 and I have had the game for years. Recently, I have had a crash when I try to place certain objects: cabinets, shelves, certain lamps, artwork, etc. For the most part, my game is fine but every once and a while it will crash randomly or when I try to place those items. I have checked everything, both my computer and game are up to date, I don't use CC or mods- so what's the deal?! How do I fix it? I miss being able to build with no issues and not have to stress that my game will crash and I'll lose (occasionally) hours worth of progress!
Is this an EA issue? Is it from my computer? Is it my game? How do I fix it ;-;

Are you using DX9 or DX11 ? You can find out on your main menu on the lower right corner next to the version number- crinrict5 months agoHero+@Janey_404 You need to check the game. You are probably running DX9.
There's others with issues with your graphics chip.
Try starting the game in DX11 mode by adding -dx11 to the command line in EA app.
Check this: https://crinrict.com/blog/2022/11/ea-app-faq.html where it says how to add command line arguments.
