[OPEN] Game 'freezes' occasionally when opening in-game menus

I wanted to cook together with another sim but after i selected the other sim and went to the screen for the food it never loaded and it froze my game on the loading screen to the food. and my game hasnt saved yet so all the progress i had before that is gone now thanks.

    @tiaraaa_jk Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Can you reproduce it each time ?

      @crinrict No mods installed, just happened to me after the Tuesday update with Grim Reaper event. One sim was already cooking, my other sim clicked on the counter and said "cook with..." and then it locked up. Realized after I did this that they were the only two on the home lot, so that option wouldn't have worked out since he's already cooking. I was thinking she would join him, but that wasn't how it was going to work. It froze like it was thinking of bringing up the menu or who to cook with.

    This happens to me as well. Not all of the time but once in a while. My sim will choose "cook with" and I can choose the sim but when it opens to the meal I get a gray overlay on the screen. I will attempt to include a screenshot. I have no mods or cc in my game.

      @rmsimmer Going to merge this with the grey overlay freeze on opening menus.

      Probably same issue with opening the menus.

        This just happened when Mmmy daughter went to adopt a pet. Alt-f4 says "Cannot Save" "The game is currently in a state where saving isn't possible.
