[OPEN] Ghosts can’t be contacted

@Landsharksimie I found this weird too, especially since I was able to invite them on a create a date/or hangout. I can also ask them on a date, no matter the relationship (disclaimer, this is with L&D installed. Thanks EA for the early access)

but when trying to do so, I get this.

What happens when the bug occurs? No options to call ghosts.
What do you expect to see? An option to chat to ghosts on the phone.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

There doesn't appear to be any way to contact ghosts through the phone other than to setup a date or to set up a hangout.  No options to call to chat or "invite to hang out on current lot" exist.  Ghosts also cannot call or use the phone on other ghosts.. but they can use their phone with live sims.  I of course removed my mod folder to make sure it wasn't mods.

The main reason I made this report was because I got a quest from a ghost to talk to the cow plant and then bake a cake and give them a piece. The problem was, after I baked the cake I couldn't find the ghost. They lived "not in world" and weren't around the nightclub where I had previously met them the next day or evening. I tried asking them on a date and for a hangout, but they barely knew me so wouldn't' come. I tried 4 days to find them to no avail.. So finally, I just moved them in with another household so I could just give them the piece of cake. 

I realize now I probably could have added them to social bunny, raised their friendship and then got them to go out on a date, but the thought didn't occur to me at the time.  

Just my rwo cents. Previously ghosts felt like they were dead and made sense they couldn’t be contacted as they would eventually get culled. Now ghosts seem to be more apart of life, within their new powers and abilty to be woohooed. There is more of a reason to play with them, Its weird that you can fully romance a ghost yet cant travel with them. I hope maxis change this.

I'm also experiencing the issue where it's impossible to contact ghosts and interact with them in the same way as living Sims, for example, through the Relationships tab. However, I noticed that if I create a group, the ghost can request to join the activity group. Has anyone found a workaround or fix for this?
