I have this problem too, and I am wondering if it is specifically related to planting garden plants in the oversize farm patches? I'm just speculating because this definitely started with Cottage Living so I'm wondering if those new dirt patches are not working right with the gardening plants that were already in the game. If I have time I will try to garden without using those patches to see if it still happens. If anyone else already has, please comment.
Edit: To clarify, my current game has both those patches as well as plants in planters that are sheltered. My idea is to start over and only use the dirt patches for oversized crops or not at all.
No, I don't think it's that because I have a greenhouse full of sheltered normal plants and have only planted oversized crops on the dirt patches yet my harvest went into my household inventory when I left the lot. I have to harvest every morning before I leave to go anywhere or it ends up there.
I think the problem has to do with harvest returning back into a dirt state. The plants completely reset and if there is fruit on the plant at the time this odd bug occurs. all the fruits on it get into my family inventory. Its terrible, this game is broken beyond repair. The plant bugs are here since forever. And even with a pack where farming is mandatory, they still have not fixed it. How typical.
