I just had this same issue. My mare was taken during the night while she was sleeping. It had nothing to do with her being pregnant, as she wasn't at the time. There was no warning as the OP said, and the vet took her despite having access to a feeding trough and even prairie grass. This is pretty upsetting as she was the one I started with when the pack came out, and I had trained her quite a bit... Hopefully, others will report this issue, and it will get fixed; I would hate to lose more horses permanently...Note: I would have reverted to a previous save, but I had mistakenly and stupidly not saved in 4 hours... So, I will just train the other houses I have instead 😞

I have had this too and I am furious. There was plenty of food available and she got taken away. I want her back now. I am so angry.

Same thing happened to me! After a trail ride, without warning. She was my most trained mare. Please fix this, I don't want to spend hours training a horse for it to get permanently taken away without warning.

Hi,Hi have the same issue. My mare had plenty of food, a lot of prary grass and freetime to eat. After I went for a ride she was suddenly taken away because of starvation. She was happy and not starved. I am very unhappy about that :/ (she had a foal by food but that was a few days old by now). Please fix it before more horses are taken away :/

Had this happen again to the replacement mare I bought. So angry. It appears that this is a problem in mares specifically.

@Meanelle At which point did you remove your mods/cc ? Did you delete the localthumbcache file ?

This just happened to me. My champion mare who I have been playing since I downloaded the pack a few days ago was taken away by vet services saying she was starving even though there was plenty of food. She was nursing her foal at the time. No notice, she was gone.
The only thing different in my game was I had downloaded My Wedding Stories yesterday, I bought it during the recent sale. I have made no other changes to my mods (I play with MCCC, UI cheats, and a few LittleMsSam mods)
I got out without saving and reloaded the game without making any other changes. I was able to play past the point she was taken away but now I'm more than a little upset this could happen at any moment without warning.
eta: I've now test played past the removal a couple of times with and without my mods just by letting the game play out itself with minimal direction from me (only sims, not horses).

Had the same issue. Prairie grass and three full food troughs available. Had a mare taken with zero warning due to “starvation”.

I've had this happen as well. My mare had a foal who was a few days old. She had a full trough and prairie grass but yet she was suddenly taken away without warning.
