Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open a new save file and look at the calendar
What happens when the bug occurs? Prom does not show up on the calendar and the pop-up to go does not appear. When you go to the auditorium, it is in its default state.
What do you expect to see? I expected prom to happen. I expected it to be on the calendar and the event to happen at the auditorium and that I would get a pop-up for my sim to attend.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Prom does not show up on the calendar with all of the other high school events. My teen sim was invited to a get-together before prom, but prom itself never happened and the auditorium was in default. I removed my mods and the local cache file and the issue still occurred. I tried in a new save file and there was no prom on the calendar in that save file either. This is my first post so sorry if I didn't do it right.
Same thing is happening to me, let me know when you figure it out!
The only events happening at the time prom should be for me are the fairs from Cottage Living. I’ll try disabling those packs tomorrow though and see what happens.
How do you disable Get Famous?
Visit jamesturner.yt. He has instructions on how to disable certain packs. Has anyone tried removing the other event from the calendar?
I'm having the same problem. My sim's partner also gets a negative sentiment about not being invited when they were, there was just no prom.
That happened to me as well. I really hope that EA addresses this quickly!
Some of my save files are showing prom and others aren't, so the issue seems inconsistent, which is almost more frustrating because I'm not sure what's causing it... hopefully this gets fixed soon, glad I'm not the only one with the bug at least :/
Same issue for me. The event was on the calendar leading up to it, but disappeared when it came time for it. I never got a prompt to attend. When I tried to go myself the lot was in the default state.

this is my issue as well, and honestly I am not going to disable get famous cuz the build buy goes with the art deco from this pack and why should I pay 40 bucks for one expansion to spoil another expansion, not cool. make it make sense please. I can play on normal span so no one dies instantly cuz of the new glitch, I will even tolerate my cat being a world famous celeb but how can this prom thing just not exist in some of our games when it was part of the selling point of the pack to begin with. Im sorry for the rant but it is almost 1am and I have been trying to fix this for hours.

If anyone doesn't have another event in the calendar on the same day and still doesn't have prom, please let ne know,

I'm sorry if I'm becoming redundant. I am really just trying to figure out what is triggering prom to glitch out. Initially, I truly thought it was related to the teen sims age at the time of the save. The game gave them a certain number of proms based on how long they would be a teen. Early play testing seemed to confirm this, as when I started an entirely new save -- prom was back on the calendar -- but still, only enough Saturday's to accommodate my Sim while they were still a teen.
But today, I started a new scenario in my save. And all proms disappeared from the calendar. So, I don't know if that has anything to do with it... I'm just reporting what's going on with my game, and hoping it might help someone figure out what's going on. Thank you!
I going to reply to my own to set some stuff straight.
1. I didn't have MCC in my game cuz i knew it wasn't up-to-date and i didn't want it to cause problems. The only Moda i had in besides cloths and hair cc was the up to date UI cheats and columns.
2. After reading that get famous starlight might be causing an issue i went back into my file, replaced the lounges with restaurants and would see the prom in the calendar then 7 pm would come and go and nothing would happen.
3 i am on normal lifespan with aging on so now i am going to turn aging off and see if that will make a difference although i am not sure how it will.
