[OPEN] [HSY] Prom not appearing in calendar/Prom works anyways

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Cannot attend prom
What happens when the bug occurs? I receive notifications about prom, but no pop-up occurs to go to prom and when I visit the auditorium it is in default decoration. There is no prom event on the calendar. I only see the talent showcase and Finchwick Fair.
What do you expect to see? Attend prom as normal, prom pop-up occurs, auditorium decorated for prom and functioning
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Newest update 7/26 High School Years download

I originally had custom content in the game and removed all of it to test, still no prom. I also disabled Get Famous, but prom still does not occur. Game should be playable and functioning properly with all other current game packs.

    I did exactly like you. Tried with mods, without mods, with the EP06, without it and still nothing.

    I have removed McCC but Prom and Graduation still not showing up in calendar

    Now I see the prom on my calendar.  The only thing that worked for me so far is doing as it was said in a previous post, turning aging off completely.  All the rest of the solutions did not work for me. So now I will play until prom to see if I can actually go.  And MCCC mod was not in my game.  I have to say that this option really sucks!

    Prom isn't even showing up for me and I have get famous but I'm scared to disable it because my Sims prom date was going to be orange Bailey-moon!! If I disable it will the townies disappear?

    I had the same problem, new years eve happened to fall on the same day as prom and I had to end that event in order for prom to happen. Still not showing in calendar though. Seems to be conflicting event problem

    I'm having a bit of a similar problem but also different: neither Prom nor Graduation are showing up on my sims calendar. Prom still works and they've attended eventhough it doesn't show up but my sim who's just graduated early, has had no graduation but has still been able to enroll in uni as a teen. I'm not sure if that's a early graduation thing or whether its a bug full stop with graduation. Does anyone know if I uninstall Get Famous, if that'll sort my issues too?

    *Edit*: Okay so it's as if my game knows I've just complained about it lol, Prom is now showing up on my calendar too but like someone else mentioned earlier, I think it's cos none of the Get Famous Events are now showing (?). Still same situ with Graduation tho.

    @redglasses004 After you removed mods and cc, did you delete the localthumbcache package file?
    And, FYI, if you use MCCC there was another update to correct an issue with prom not happening.

    @rlc77 I think there's also a vanilla bug component to it. Currently trying to sort through things :D
