@crinrict No not in the save the LE happened in.  It came from a non occult sim licensing a nature documentary.  I only have played mermaids in another save where I had the same issue.

    @KaraDM It is possible that the nature documentation is bugged for all Sims.

    Did you have it occur with any other royalties or just that one ?

    I think the status is:
    - Nature doc für all
    - Mermaid for everything.

    I haven’t tried with any other royalties in awhile.  That might be though.
