I haven't had Aqua Zips and or the Canoes disappear from the world, but I have had them disappeat when I add them to a lot.
I created a beach lot that had 3 or 4 Aqua Zips and 1 Canoe. After visiting the lot once, these items disappeared. It would have been cool to see sims use the Aqua Zips since it isn't an autonmous behavior outside of the played household.
I wonder if the townies that rode them also took them? I wasn't paying attention because I was trying to tell a story. Now that the gameplay has gone dead for storytelling, I'll see if I can catch any water vehicle thieves.
But, I spend 90% of my gameplay in Sulani with merfolk. My merfolk are often swimming in the water doing whatever tiny bit they can do exclusively in the water. I can say with fair certainty that the items in the open world don't disappear like items placed on a lot do. Further more, townies prefer to show up in the Canoe, and it's a shame that there aren't even tourists on aqua zips?
