How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? Up to date as of Country Living Installation
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except for Bowling Night, Mochisno, Dream Home Decorator and Journey to Batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to a restaurant and have your sims order a meal and watch them sit there for many sim hours as other sims get their orders, while yours is just left there to starve.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims don't get their food for many hours, if at all.
What do you expect to see? Sims getting food and not sitting at a restaurant for 5+ sim hours.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
Seems like restaurants are borked, again. I just tried taking my family of five to a restaurant, order their meal and had them sitting at their table chatting away merrily. The table next to me got their meal, then the other table got theirs, but my family? Nah! they just have to sit there and grow hungrier and hungrier by the minute, while the restaurant staff faff around doing diddly squat. At least they were doing their "idle" animation of coming to check on my table, like bro, where is my effing food???? My family have to go to work and school in the morning and they're STILL WAITING FOR THEIR FOOD FIVE SIM HOURS LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I double-checked to make sure their food was still ordered because I know there's a bug that causes the orders to become reset and their order was still there, so I know it's not that bug that is fricking with my game.
I have also noticed that Dine Out restaurants are completely broken and unplayable right now. I am noticing routing problems, orders not arriving and the restaurant gameplay being broken. I hope this will be patched soon. Restaurants are normally fun but are currently not working at all. I tested this several times by sending my sims to restaurants with different weird malfunctions.
NPC sims would be standing around in the restaurant but not doing anything. It's as though the whole restaurant visit would need to be reset. If you attempt to place an order, the waiters do not take it and the food often does not arrive. I also would see the sim who places the order wandering off to another random part of the restaurant. My sims wouldn't be able to see each other or talk about their meals.
I am frustrated and angry 😮 because I want to have romantic dates in restaurants, there are bugs that were reported years ago and are still not fixed despite paying for the dlc. it only serves to have more things to build and not for play.
