On the second level of the aspiration, when I throw a party, it doesn’t seem to count for the “throw 3 parties” requirement. I have tried throwing parties by phone and through the colander but neither is working. I made sure my sim was the host, but it still doesn’t work. What do you expect to see? I expect to complete the aspiration requirement when I throw 3 parties. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. What I have found is that if the host / party animal sim is the active sim when the party ends, the party counts in the aspiration goal. If the party ends and you're playing a different sim, it only counts as attending an event. I have been experiencing this issue, at every aspiration level that is supposed to count "thrown parties". If the party doesn't count towards the goal of "Throw X number of parties", it will still count towards attending a social event (in the later aspiration levels). Requirements are met - My Party Animal sim throws a goaled party (birthday, house party, dinner party) Sim is always the host, achieves Silver or Gold level as needed. Ending party early doesn't seem to make a difference; Achieving Gold when it lists Silver is not an issue; type of sim/traits/household/lot is not an issue. Win 10 / Base Game + RG & freebies / No mods or cc-never used I'd be interested to hear if this is the case for anyone else experiencing the problem.

Just popping in to say that this is still a problem and is happening in my game too.

This is, IMHO, the buggiest aspiration, and yet I've done it 3 times (once because Super Sim).So: I only do House Party, Dinner Party, or Black and White Party. Okay, once I did a birthday party. Lots of parties just don't seem to count. There are lists of which ones count online and earlier in this thread, but those are the ones I do.The thing where if the party ends and your Sim isn't the active Sim when it ends, they don't get credit? TRUE. This is a PITA if, say, you have a married couple doing this aspiration together. *cough* Seriously, if they co-host a dinner party and one spouse cooks and the other does the socializing, they should both get credit, IMHO, but no, whichever one is "active" gets credit. Which is vexing if, say, you have other family members in the house who need attention or have some kind of crisis. On one occasion I had a death at a New Year's party and was busy trying to get someone to give Grim a death flower when the party ended. The Sim with the aspiration not only didn't get credit for throwing a social event but also received the Charisma for Dummies consolation prize (she's Charisma 10; I think dealing with a guest deciding to freeze to death in the pool is more important!). Talk about adding insult to injury! She also didn't get credit for throwing parties at different locations a couple of times. The reward trait is awesome! but the actual aspiration doesn't always accurately track your doing of the things.

@kusurusu I finished like 5, got gold on all except 1, and It still didn’t count ☹️

@TheJordMeister28What kind of parties did you choose? Only birthday, dinner, costume, house, b&w, spooky, weddings and weenie roasts count.

At what point did you remove your mods ? Did you throw another party after removing them ?

@crinrict I had only tried goaled events.

I removed my mods a few weeks ago when I started having a different issue where I couldn’t click on sims. So when I threw the parties, my mods had already been taken out. ☹️

@TheJordMeister28 Could you try a different Sim to see if they have the issue too ? This seems a bit inconclusive from what I hear for others.

Sometimes it counts, sometimes it doesn't but for you it seems to never count so I wonder if it has to do with traits/skills

I threw a wedding (counted), dinner (counted), house (nope), costume (nada), and spooky (nah).

I have tried both goaled and ungoaled events with all three households I tested.

Same. I also tried this aspiration with three households with very different sims. The third party didn’t count for any of them.

@crinrict, I’ve been trying to make sure this isn’t just a problem with my weird household that doesn’t seem to own their house, so I have tried the party aspiration with three households now. One is a new household that doesn’t have any traits in common with the other two. The lot traits on the homes are also different.

In my game the Party-Aspiration does not work; my Sim should give 3 Partys to fullfill the Level, but the game ignored every (successfull !!!) given party...after nr 6 or 7 i changed the aspiration (pure desperation.....)
