[OPEN] Plant not planting

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? SP07: 1.assets.live-sp07.165
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions except Pets. Game Packs: All. Stuff: Vintage Glam, Kids Room, Spooky
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? No idea
What happens when the bug occurs? My butler keeps trying to plant the same plant. Yes you heard that right. She plants it once, it vanishes. She moves from point a to point B, tries it again, and it vanishes again. She moves back to .8, and back to point B without fail. What is going on?
What do you expect to see? The planting be done, And the plant stay.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It’s 07/31/2020, so whatever patch was the latest. It wasn’t this weird a week ago.

I really don’t want a butler that just keeps going from point a to point B, even when it’s thundering and lightning at the cost of her risking herself. I even told her to quit gardening, but she didn’t listen.

@RandomBuzziness Interesting -- my seeds were all from either Festival plants or from produce I bought at one of the stands in San Myshuno. I'll try buying some seed packets and see if that's more successful, then use the workaround for my money tree seed. Thanks again!
  • For some reason, this seems to only be happening for my garden pots. I found if I tried to plant something in a garden pot and it kept disappearing, putting the seed in a planter or on the ground, planting it that way, and then moving the planted seed into the garden pot worked.

I have the same issue, my apples and pomegranates are giving me the "failed to germinate" message, when i plant them in a garden planter. I'm trying to plant them sheltered. The apple was bought from grocery service and has been in the fridge before i tried planting it, and the pomegranate was harvested from my own grafted plant and has not been in the fridge, just in my inventory after harvesting. I tried the workaround with moving it into the household inventory, but it didn't work. I tried it several times, always slightly differently, but no try worked. I also tried hiring a gardener, but even the gardener didn't succeed. There is only one way that finally worked for me after lots of different tries: When I plant the fruit outside (non-sheltered), I planted them in the fields that are made for the oversized crops, they finally germinated, and then i went into build mode and moved that pile of dirt with the germinated plant in it to my sheltered garden planter. It then stayed in this state and started growing.
