I wonder if they are going to do anything about this, a lot of people seem be having this issue. I haven't seen any signs they are.. I hope they do though because I want to enjoy a spooky ghost busting sim. ☹️

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions, game packs and stuff packs.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Do a gig in the Paranormal Investigator career and complete all tasks.
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim becomes stuck on the client's lot after I have completed all the tasks.
What do you expect to see? After completing the gig I expect a dialog indicating the gig was completed with an option to "go home". I would then expect my sim to collect their rewards and go home after selecting "go home".
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes, but removing them seems to not matter.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Not exactly..
Please describe the patch or change you made. I updated and installed the latest packs from paranormal and up on the same day I got them together.
