[OPEN] [PSP] Paranormal Investigator: Can't complete gig because missing pop-up

I bought the Paranormal Pack at the start of June and I am having the same problem as many others. I go to work as a Paranormal Investigator, I manage to fully exorcise the lot, yet I am unable to leave. Whether I wait for the gig to end naturally, click leave early, or stay late, I am unable to leave the job. It won't even let me cancel the gig in its entirety. I am playing a fully updated and un-modded game. Also the Sim I am playing with is not any form of occult sim.
This is so sad! My Sim lives in a haunted house and I thought this would be perfect for him. We've had a lot of fun playing in his haunted house, so what would be more natural than exorcising other lots?
I've tried the career before in a different save but had the bug where no specters or cursed objects appeared. I thought this was a perfect gig! Four specters, several items to clean up, Temperence showed up and we summoned Bonehilda, and I had a blast! At the very end, there were no more items to clean up. We checked the spiritual volitility and it said there was nothing out of the ordinary. The performance bar was completely full. We were reassuring the customers and giving them sacred candles for something to do, since "perform ceremony" wasn't an option.
And then 6:30 came and went and there was no way to actually get paid. ☹️
I'm going to cheat my Sim the $750 he would have received and give him another job. I'm so disappointed. ☹️ I had a lot of fun, and the "Bustin' Makes Me Feel Good" confident buff and socials while that buff is active are ADORABLE.
To add insult to injury, since he wasn't on lot at 5am (which I knew would happen) he didn't even get his garden produce, so he lost money going to work. ☹️ We're not a charity here. 😉 We have a teenaged little brother to support.
[Edit] Also, we're at home now and his little brother SHOULD be in school but has the "grayed out" icon that says he's "at home" (So are we! He's not here!) and I can't bring him here to make him go to school.
[Edit] Okay, I managed to get the brother to show up by traveling with him, but he WILL NOT go to school, the button isn't there, there's just a "school in 24 hours" message, and his Aspiration panel is all screwed up and I can't change aspirations. He also can't summon his familiar. The Paranormal Investigator career breaks the whole family? I might cry now.
[Another Edit] Okay, I managed to recover in such a way as neither of them are broken and have QUIT THIS CAREER. (I quit without saving, then went back into the game and it asked me if I wanted to play the Paranormal Investigator at the Sterling-Rico house or his teen brother. I picked the brother and used the profile icon to bring my investigator home. He had career rewards--a hello Dahlia and a grumpy specter in a jar--and the confident moodlet but no pay. No matter how much fun I had, I can't risk this career breaking my Sim's entire family.
As near as I can tell, this bug breaks... time itself. The entire household went into a "work/school is tomorrow... forever" state.

A Quick Note : T he Game corrupted not only my Saves Folder but my Mods Folder and Tray! I suggest uninstalling paranormal until EA decides (if ever) to fix it. As for the upcoming expansion in July You can bet I will NOT be purchasing it.
