But you had the release option on playable ghosts before ?
I had. And I have it now, but somehow only with newly created ones.

Well, nothing has changed for me, despite all the latest patches 🙂 I didn't check all the aspects of this issue, only those with "oldest" ghost-sims, which are able do release themselves, but others still don't even have an option to do so.

At least on all my old saves with playable ghosts, this is still an issue.

Kinda can't remember .. so much has happened since your last post .. did you ever upload your save ?

Not sure what to upload, I asked my friend with the same problem and he sent me some file. Is it enough?
Today I checked with new "fresh" ghost. It's the same - the option doesn't affect ghost and it (the option) vanishes after trying to use it.

I think I understand now, what you mean.
There's two things that seem off
- Playable ghost: Other Sims living in the same household don't have the option to release the spirits. Only the Ghost itself does
- Non-Playable ghost: Releasing them to the netherworld when they're spooking around doesn't work properly as they don't return to their graves and hence don't puff away as they should. It works fine if they are inside the grave when you choose the action.
I'll add this. Let me know if that's what you're seeing

Well, the #2 is the real problem, I think. You can at least try to explain logically why Playable ghost can only release itself in #1. Maybe intended. But #2 is definitely off and worked well in earlier versions.
Also, I can't remember if the option to release Non-Playable ghost if they are inside the grave really works - maybe animation plays well, but they come back later despite being "released". I should check it, but it will take time.
