@simvasionThank you so much for the advice, there were indeed several leaf piles stacked on top of each other!

It happens to me too and I just wait till winter and they magically disappear!  Having said that, a whole season of rotting leaf piles doesn't give my sims a good reputation.  I've taken to buying non-desiduous (can't spell!) trees to stop leaves.  Leaves are the bane of my (sim) life!

    I also tried the destroy object thing, but it wouldn't work off lot.
