Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Version 1.69.59.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Snowy Escape, Discover University, Island Living, Seasons, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get Together, Get to Work, Realm of Magic, Parenthood, Dine Out, Outdoor Retreat, Nifty Knitting, Tiny Living, Moschino, Laundry Day
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Get the Close-Knit Lifestyle. Have the Sim make four or more friends. When the Tense Moodlet occurs due to going against the Lifestyle, remove the Lifestyle via the Lifestyle Counselling option on the Phone.
What happens when the bug occurs? When the Close-Knit Lifestyle is removed via Lifestyle Counselling while a Sim has a Tense Moodlet due to having too many friends, the Tense Moodlet remains after the Lifestyle Counselling and will not go away.
What do you expect to see? The Tense Moodlet associated with the Lifestyle should go away after the Lifestyle has been removed.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
This could be occurring with other Lifestyles, or with getting the Close-Knit Tense Moodlet by having no friends, but the Moodlet takes so long to come up when a Lifestyle is added via cheats that I wasn't able to finish testing it.

Has anyone at EA even acknowledged that this is a problem they're trying to resolve? It's completely game breaking and has permanently corrupted my Sim and her save file. I tried to just push through it and live with it but now my game is crashing and freezing on load screens due to these constant script errors. I have a boss gaming computer with more than triple the recommended specs for the game. There is no reason for this to be a problem on my end. It happens with and without mods and to console users, so clearly, it's not a case of someone who doesn't know what they're doing mucking about with mods. I'm meticulous about maintaining my Mods folder, anyway.
I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I've done everything to permanently get rid of Lifestyles. Nothing works.- 5 years ago
@SnarkyWitchIt’s been an issue ever since lifetysles were introduced and instead of fixing the issues they release new packs upon new new packs to make more money. I agree it’s completely broken, I’ve turned off lifestyles and my Sims still get moodlets linked to lifestyles: they had when I deactivated it, never had or previously had. Can safely say they never tested this feature.
