I had this happen too. I pre-baked a birthday cake for my twins birthday, and put candles on it before putting it in the fridge. Then one of my sims ate a piece of cake even though it had candles on it. When I took it out to use it, the cake was missing a piece. I was able to have one of the toddlers blow out the candles to age up, but I couldn't add candles again to age up the other toddler because of the cake missing a piece. It was so annoying because I wanted both toddlers to age up at the same time, but I had to stop and bake a new cake.
- 8 years agoExactly! One of my twins is now 1 day older...
- bookmaster3257 years agoSeasoned AceThis just happened to me in my most recent save with the cake my sim cooked for his kid to age up. Choosing "get leftovers" from the fridge would have the sim(s) grab for a piece of the cake. I was able to cancel the action until the mom slipped past me and ate a piece. The really unsual part: the cake was still usable to age up sims after the piece was gone (thank goodness). Weird glitch. XD

This is still happening, after patches and EPs. Whenever my Sims help themselves from the fridge, it's cake they go for. OK you can still use the cake with a slice out but you can't then put candles on again for a second Sim – say, a twin – to use again straight away. Surely it can't be so hard to fix, it didn't happen originally.
