[OPEN] Toddler Doesn't Stay in High Chair (Patch 1.96.386)

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.97.62.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Expansions, All game packs except batuu, All stuff packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a teen or older Sim grab a serving of food. Drag the food onto a high chair. Select the high chair and "put down..." a toddler. Try to get the toddler to eat the food.
What happens when the bug occurs? The toddler won't eat at the high chair, she'll stay in the high chair if she's not trying to eat, but the moment you select the food and click "eat" she asks to be put down, grabs the food, and eats on the floor.
What do you expect to see? I expect toddlers to be able to eat regular food in the high chair, not just food you give them from the "give food to..." option.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

My toddler will sit in a high chair, very hungry, with food right in front of her, and once you click "eat food" she asks to be let out, to go eat the food elsewhere.

Same issue, toddler wants to eat but will not stay in high chair to do so, even when food is on the tray in front of them.  They managed to break high chairs for toddlers again.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? put a toddler in a highchair and try and have them eat something while sitting there
What happens when the bug occurs? The toddler won't eat food in the high chair, they ask to be let out and sit there doing nothing until they are let out and then they will go eat on the couch
What do you expect to see? I'm able to have my toddlers eat their food while sitting in the highchair
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

My toddler sims will not eat in the highchair, they will immediately ask to be taken out and if they aren't they will sit there and stare at the food until they are let out. when they're let out they will then take the food and go eat on the couch.

Still experiencing this issue after the latest update. Game Version 1.107.112.1230.

I'll put down my toddler in the high chair and immediately place a plate of food from my sim's inventory, but when I tell the toddler to eat, she asks to be let out of the high chair, then grabs the plate and eats on the floor.

I am having the same issue. Is there any work around? 

I mean, there’s a workaround for getting the toddler to eat- just have them sit on a chair/ couch/ floor and eat like that. There’s no workaround I can find to get them to eat at the high chair.

I haven’t tried disabling autonomy because I don’t want to do that across all sims just to get a toddler to eat, but that may be worth a try.

Not sure if it's exactly the same issue but it sounds like it might be - my Sims' toddler refuses to stay in her high chair once she's placed there and has a plate in front of her. Directing her to eat the food automatically makes her ask an adult to let her out of the high chair and then she'll take the plate and eat elsewhere. At first I put it down to her having the quirk where she doesn't like being picked up too often, but it doesn't seem like it's intentional.

Is this still happening for you? It seems to work at first when the toddler first ages up. But if I reload the save then they don't want to sit and eat in the highchair anymore. I was hoping this would be fixed with the Life and Death update and game release. It's very frustrating.
