I don't have movie hangout but have the same issue with my sim. When I make my sim cook, she randomly stops and start watching tv, even if her hunger need is low and the fun is high she just interrupts the action and go watch tv. The Tv the is always off. When I tell my sim to resume cooking, she goes back, stat the action and after few seconds the same thing again, she just quits and go to watch tv. Very annoying.

@crinrict The TV is always off when I've seen this happen, and my Sim's fun bar is close to full. I've only seen this in my Sim's home, where the wall-mounted TV is in relatively close proximity to the stove. He only loses interest in cooking before the progress circle shows up. The problem is intermittent and I haven't yet figured out the common thread between occurences. It may be related to another problem I've had (I'm searching to see if there are related reports) in which presumably-hungry NPC Sims randomly lose interest in eating after putting a serving on a table.

I have a similar problem, I didn't know if I should start a new thread so I added it here yo start with. This problem only occurred to me after Discover University. And it's not just cooking, it is any interaction, but especially in the following situations: - when working on the robotics table- when kids are using crafts tables- when any sim is playing games on computersThey cancel out of the interaction and goes to turn on the tv. I had need decay off so full needs when doing these interactions and they only show up when the tv is in the same room. The TV is usually always off, I'm not entirely sure if it happens when the TV is on as well.

I'm having the same issue as well. Sim drops cooking , even leaves the pan on the stove, to go watch tv. She sometimes watches while prepping ( it's a tiny home) but most of the time she just stops and goes to watch. She also stops eating to watch, or sometimes she sits on the table to eat then gets up picks up her plate , sits on the sofa eats a bit while watching and then gets up again leaves her plate half emty somewhere and goes back watching tv. The Tv is off and in the same room. Also i have no idea if it is related , but it looks like it is , she also has issues with reading skill books as she'll just stop reading after a bit to grab another book from the book case. She sometimes stops eating to read as well. Bookcase is again in the same room. When she is outside on her Yoga mat , she will stop and go to the punching bag ( they are both outside) but i'm not 100% sure if she drops it midway or finishes first , i'll need to test that further.The only workaround i found so far is to queue more actions after cooking,eating , practicing yoga, or reading skill books. If anything else is queued she'll finish the task . or keep doing it until i cancel it Got All Packs , happens with and without CC . Noticed after installing tiny living though i haven't played much since DU

I have this same issue. I send my sim to cook dinner, his fun level is full but every few second he ques up watch tv or watch a movie. If the recipe involves the baking in the stove he will stay focused on the oven. but the pre-cooking parts he cant stay focused on cooking. So it's just getting through him mixing ingredient and using the cutting board or using the stovetop that seems to be an issue, for me.

I'm seeing this on PS4 with the robotics station. The TV is right next to the station but the sim working at the robotics station will just cancel the action at the station to go watch the TV.
Edit: After I sold the TVs then it was the basketball court interrupting the robotics station action.

So I just recently ran into a problem where my sim won’t do anything but watch tv. He cancels any action I try to do. Anything you can do to help?

Guess other than moving the TV to a separate room, there's not much you can do.

I am having exactly the same problem! It's super frustrating because my sim will cancel so many different actions, especially skill building actions, to watch the stupid TV. She will stop cooking, practising mixing drinks, and even painting. No matter how many times I tell her to go back to the task I want her to be doing, she quits moments later and goes back to the TV. I have tried moving the TV to a different room, or getting a different type of TV and it has not solved the problem. I have some light CC (CAS items) and I have tried running without any CC, and still the issue persists. I did not have this issue before installing DU.

Having an issue with this as well. My sims would be cooking then suddenly stop to watch tv. This is a tiny home. The sim would be able to watch tv while prepping, which is fine and they sim does this without issue. The sim would turn around to cook and turn the tv off. Other times the sim just stops cooking half way through and turns around to watch tv.

I'm having this issue too, always while cooking. Super frustrating. Takes about 3-4 times of sending my sim back to resume cooking to finish a making a meal. Have had it happen on different save files, with and without tv in the same room. And they'll even stop cooking, watch the tv, stop watching the tv and proceed to do something else. Thank goodness leaving stuff on the stove doesn't set it on fire immediately XD

@PandaC8718 I know right? Super frustrating. They're hungry, the TV isn't even on, and their fun need is met. I shouldn't have to babysit my Sims THAT much lol.
